Witches and ghosts and murder, oh my! One of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, Macbeth combines murder, mayhem, and witchcraft with some of the Bard’s most eloquent poetry. What does this play reveal about the forces that drive us, the nature of evil, the ravages of guilt, and the art of equivocation? Join us to consider these things and discuss the ways this play is still relevant over four hundred years later. A text of the play is helpful, and students concerned about 16th century English may find the No Fear Shakespeare edition helpful.
