College of Business

  • Open to: rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders
  • Date: June 9 - 13, 2025
  • Time: Day Camp: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Cost: $400, scholarships available
  • Includes: all camp materials, water bottle, t-shirt, lunch, and snacks

This two-day camp provides participants the opportunity to develop their leadership, communication, and personal branding skills as they explore various disciplines in the area of business. Campers will learn about the experiences of female leaders in the business community, become more confident leaders themselves, and explore various career paths in business. College of Engineering

  • Open to: Rising 5th-12th graders
  • 5th & 6th Grade Camp: July 7-11; July 14-18; July 21-25
  • 7th & 8th Grade Camp: June 16-20; June 23-27

College of Nursing

  • Open to: Grades 9-12
  • Dates: July 15-17, 2025
  • Format: Full Day
  • Cost: $200
  • Includes: All camp materials, lunch, snacks, t-shirt

Nursing is a rewarding career that offers exciting opportunities. During this camp, students will explore nursing hands-on in our state-of-the-art Simulations and Learning Innovation (SLIC) Lab. Activities may include placing IVs, administering injections, and exploring advanced practice skills such as intubation and suturing.

The University of Alabama in Huntsville offers a summer internship program for highly motivated high school students interested in scientific research as a career. This program provides interns with hands-on experience and the opportunity to collaborate with leading experts on projects that have a real-world impact.

Interns will have the opportunity to work in areas such as antibiotic drug resistance, microbiomes, cellular protein complexes, drug discovery, liver metabolism, space plasma, electrodynamics, and colloidal fluids. This experience not only enhances their scientific understanding but also allows them to contribute to meaningful research that advances science and technology. Office of Access, Connection, and Engagement

  • Open to: Newly admitted, first-time students
  • Dates: July 14-25
  • Format: Residential
  • Cost: Free

The Rocket Booster Bridge Program is designed to smooth the transition from high school to college. The Rocket Booster Bridge program aims to increase the quality and quantity of students successfully completing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) baccalaureate degrees at UAH. Our program is an excellent opportunity for entering students to strengthen their academic skills, develop a peer support network, and familiarize themselves with the campus and its resources. The program is supported by the Office of Access, Connections, and Engagement, whose goal is to increase access and provide support to students of all backgrounds.
